Locations Set Along Oregon Coast

Looks peaceful, doesn't it; charming, even? It is. It's part of one of the best-preserved coastlines in America. As part of the fictional city of Nelscott in Taft County, however, the peace and tranquility may require a little protection.

This Lincoln County location figures prominently in the pilot, but more on that later. As the weeks progress, we'll feature a number of sites throughout the area, either to point out where scenes take place, or to offer general views of the area.

Preproduction Launches;
Teaser Shooting to Start
In Coming Months

Independent pilot Coastal Disturbances has rescheduled principal photography and begun site tests, wardrobe shoots, and location work for a teaser reel in the Lincoln City and Newport areas of the Oregon Coast. The preproduction work is accompanied by a Facebook page (links below) and promotions across the web. Contributor, supporter, and general interest features include news, photos, video clips, and special offers. One Lincoln City resident already has won a DVD of the finished pilot (story to follow).
      The production's cast of professionals, predominantly Northwest actors, includes an Emmy nominee and veterans with major film and TV experience, and is backed by an award-winning technical staff.

Preparations continue for principal photography, beginning with a teaser to be shot in the Lincoln City area. Details of location scouting, cast news, and other information soon will appear in the journal, linked to this page. This front page will feature brief, general entries from time to time, but the blog will carry more information and sooner.
